The Winners of the 2025 Hello Tomorrow Global Challenge are Revealed

From over 4,600 applicants worldwide, 850 groundbreaking startups were recognized as Deep Tech Pioneers, with 80 advancing as finalists in the 2025 Hello Tomorrow Global Challenge. After two days of intense pitching on the Pioneers Stage at the Hello Tomorrow Global Summit in Paris, three exceptional startups claimed top honors.

The prestigious €100,000 Grand Prize went to Nūmi, a French startup producing human breast milk using cell culture to provide infants with ideal nutrition when breastfeeding is not an option. Nūmi competed in the Food and Agriculture category, supported by our partner DSM-Firmenich Ventures and Avril.

Grand Winner: Nūmi (France), producing human breast milk using cell culture to provide infants with ideal nutrition when breastfeeding is not an option.

Second Prize: spotLESS Materials  (United States), pioneers PFAS-free, nature-inspired coatings that create ultra-slippery surfaces repelling liquids, solids, and biological materials.

Emerging Pioneer: Papcup (United Kingdom), offers a handheld, non-invasive device that uses an electrochemical biosensor to detect cancer-causing HPV in menstrual blood.

Winner of the “Advanced Computing & Electronics” category supported by Murata

Gallox Semiconductors Inc. (United States) 

Gallox is developing Ga₂O₃-based diodes and transistors for power inverters, enabling more efficient power conversion for data centres and EV chargers.

Winner of the “Aerospace” category supported by Safran

Alpha Impulsion (France) 

Alpha Impulsion pioneers hybrid autophage rocket technology, where the launcher’s structure is entirely consumed as fuel, doubling performance while minimising space debris.

Winner of the “Digital Health & Medical Devices” category

Impli (United Kingdom)  

Impli is transforming healthcare by introducing high-precision remote monitoring through an innovative real-time hormone monitoring implant for IVF treatments.

Winner of the “Energy” category supported by Honda Xcelerator, GTT & Galp

Found Energy (United States) 

Found Energy is providing an affordable, safe, and ethical alternative to fossil fuels by using abundant and energy-dense aluminium metal as a carbon-free fuel capable of generating high-temperature heat or hydrogen for industrial applications.

Winner of the “Environment” category supported by L’Oréal

Dryad Networks GmbH (Germany) 

Dryad provides solar-powered, AI-enabled gas sensors that detect wildfires as early as the smouldering phase.

Winner of the “Food & Agriculture” category supported by DSM-Firmenich & Avril

Nūmi (France) 

Nūmi produces human breast milk using cell culture to provide infants with ideal nutrition when breastfeeding is not an option.

 

Winner of the “Industrial Biotech & New Materials” category supported by Syensqo & Biotope Ventures

spotLESS Materials Inc. (United States) 

spotLESS Materials pioneers PFAS-free, nature-inspired coatings that create ultra-slippery surfaces repelling liquids, solids, and biological materials. Their patented LESS technology transforms everyday surfaces into self-cleaning, low-friction interfaces, revolutionising both consumer products and industrial applications.

Winner of the “Industry & Machines” category

RESONIKS (Netherlands) 

RESONIKS detects anomalies by resonating objects and analysing their acoustic response using AI. This technology allows manufacturers to identify structural defects such as cracks, pores, and cavities in metal parts, serving the automotive, aerospace, maritime, and machine-building sectors.

Winner of the “Medical Biotech & Pharmaceuticals” category

HEPHAISTOS Pharma (France) 

HEPHAISTOS Pharma enhances immunotherapies by stimulating the patient’s immune response, turning cold tumours into hot targets for the immune system.

Winner of the “Sustainable Construction & Infrastructure” category supported by Leonard & Saint-Gobain

AeroShield Materials (United States) 

AeroShield creates ultra-clear, super-insulating silica aerogels that boost window efficiency by 65%, outperforming triple-pane glass at a lower cost.

 

The winners were selected based on their technological innovation, economic viability, impact potential, and team strength. Over 110 expert judges from leading corporations, investors, and industry experts participated in the evaluation process.

A New Chapter: Hello Tomorrow Summit Moves to Amsterdam in 2026

After a decade in Paris, the Hello Tomorrow Summit will make a landmark move to Amsterdam in 2026. While Hello Tomorrow’s headquarters will remain in France, this relocation signifies a bold step toward strengthening global deep tech collaboration.
